Dependable, higher HP engines (500-1000+).
Improved hull design and construction.
GPS speedo, so that your investment in the newer hull and higher HP engine(s) are justified.

It looks like ROLLER LIFTERS have seen a big increase in technology....even just in the past few years, both hydraulics and solids.

Another big improvement is HEAD GASKET technology. I don't hear of head or block decks having to be groove cut much anymore these days.

Default Portable Boat Lift

I am biased because I own the company but I also benefit from the product myself. The Portable Boat Lift has allowed me to be able to remove boats from trailers easier and safer than I ever could before.
I think anything that adds comfort, safety, performance, and ease of use is noteworthy such as the Power Pole or again in my opinion the Portable Boat Lift, portableboatlift.com.
