Several people have asked this and numerous have answered. I'm sure they will post but the short answer I've read is some have failed (2 i know of) but most have not(more than 12). I'd say the golden rule is if u abuse anything it will eventually break. Use this extra power to blast past someone then come back to your normal cruising speeds once you have proven your faster!! :coolcowboy:

The drive can handle it, the stock trannie is the weak link. I would think the stage 1 wouldn't be a problem, not sure about stage II.

Chris, do you have the oversized replacement intercooler fittings?

CB-BLR 01-30-2010 10:54 AM

Dustin has been gone this last week.

I was texting him on Tuesday, and he said he would have pictures for me of the new spark arrestor on Monday, and that the innercooler fittings should be done the first part of the week.

These oversized innercooler water fittings should only be used with a seperate water pickup for the innercooler, elsewise the motor will not be getting enough water pressure, and will go into guardian mode.

I will post the spark arrestor pictures as soon as I get them.

Chris

How should it be plumbed? A separate offshore pickup that goes direct to the intercooler or a two stage water pump fed from the main pick up?

A seperate offshore pickup that goes thru a seperate strainer, and then to the innercooler, would be best. Then the motor can have its own cooling water, which should now be more efficient due to the increased flow across the heat exchanger.

Stock, some of the water flow is diverted away from the heat exchanger, and thru the innercooler, reducing flow and psi thru the heat exchanger.

Chris
