Now where the Behavior of the sandwich Structure under overload, Impact, fatigue. Vibrations and ETC the Plastic wins hands down.

Stiffness again Uncle not true by any measure in a well-designed panel! If anything it will be self-destructive. As if wood is used that does not have the consistency of Plastic.

And again your Data is NA where the Liner foams are concerned. Now off topic the best in Sport fishing Boats and Composite Yachts are built using Plastic Cores.

Its Not my data.

Yes and I pointed the problem with that data!

OK then Explain why the Brand X Failed in My impact testing ,Supposed to be much stronger right?

My buddy was driving that boat, its very unfortunate.

First you said it was "bogus."

When I posted Gurits data now you cant really say its bogus anymore can you?

Your hammer test is interesting but one "test" does not trump all the other measurements of strength in the third party data.

You said Sigma labs did the testing??
Is it Sigma labs data, or yours?
Can you post the whole lab report?

If you can, then we can all compare all the third party data objectively.

Im off to Home depot to see what kind of deal I can get on a Cigarette Top Gun made from crappy wood. Its probably on the other side of the Skater aisle.

Why did the D-57 and D-100 Balsa Break since by what you believe it is stronger? But the linear foam did not!

You do not get it do you??

Foam wins the "Steves hammer test".

Gurit (the company that makes your foam) shows weaker #'s in all comparative categories that they actually post themselves.

Am I posting bogus data "again".

Thats a win for balsa in 4 of 6 categories lets look at them

Compression stregth Balsa
Shear Modulus - Balsa
Shear Strength- balsa
Tensile Strenght- Balsa
"Steve Test" - Foam
Lightness- Foam (usually)

Would you have us all believe

1. all other third party data is meaningless
2. all other boat builder experience is meaningless
3. everyone else that uses balsa doesnt get it.

School me......

Dude It Broke Badly ROFLMAO Anything More OK.:lolhit:

The linear DID not BreaK!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NOW why: this because your beloved numbers are absolutes for your Wood GOT IT it's limits and Failure !!!!!!!! While,,,,,,, Still with me here ???? the Numbers are NOT Even Close to the Failing Point on the Linear Not even close!!!!!

NOW refer to Post #93 I usually get paid for this! BTW The A-600 is real impressive right??

Cool HUH?Key West Race video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h1csGLgX4tk

To re cap Uncle One more time Your "numbers" work for the brittle breakable things like the cross linked Foam and the Wood BUT not for the ultra sophisticated Linear Plastic Foams!

Here I have been educating the pagans for a while! the Plastic business is a love affair with Tom.
