The Gladiator is perfect for that water! And outboard cat or a stock powered I/O Cat are perfect as well but you then have the insurance to deal with. In 3-4's you can run our 35 Motion faster than you could a Gladiator. For a Vee bottom though you cant beat a Gladiator for the money!

For speed; 42Fountain PR Merc 700/NXT1. Same hull as the raceboat.

For affordable luxury;

43 Nor-Tech twin Ilmor 710/Indy drive

For best fuel mileage;

Eliminator 43 Eagle(Larry Smith Scarab) twin Cummins 480 diesels/ASD8 drives.

None of those are sit down vee's or what he is looking for??? There are not nearly as many Fountain PR's built compared to the Donzi or Cigarette. They will also be very hard on the drives.

what defines best..??????. Im not a fan of the Cig..very loose boat...I like the Donzi better than the Fountain...but prefer this boat for it's edgy look, conviences and just more room all the way around.

This thread is about affordable sit down vee's if everyone would go back and read Tom's initial post. That Nor-Tech is cool but still not really a true sit down.
