Talking 42 outer & 38 PP

I would like to hear your opinions between these two boats
42 Outerlimits with 900'S and 6's
38 Powerplay with 675 KE and Imco drives
both are the same year.
Also the 900's have solid roller cams which is beat.

Style of boating is cruising around with the family and some poker runs.Do a lot of raft ups/ swimming. Looking for most comfort, handling, and ride in the rough, speed is last on the list. Of course it's cool to go 100mph once in a while.

Both are nice boats. Maybe take your family and go with the vote!...do as I say, not as I do!

Both great boats. Both will have the same rough water capability. My favorite all time v bottoms as far as looks go. Take a ride in each and then go from there. We love our 38.

6's are sweet when the motors run! There is a lot to be said for a boat that is "turn key"

This is true but those 675 KE's weren't the best motor out there either. Good seeing you this weekend.

That Powerplay won't hit 100 with those engines/drives....

Powerplay is a very basic boat compared to the OL but also one of 11/12 boats out there.

Both beautiful boats. Both very large boats in their segments. The 37 OL is about the same size as the 38 PP. Can be bought for less cause they are older, a few in the classifieds and I know of one that is not listed and is extremely nice with 500's for a very reasonable price. There is one 37 OL that is a 02 model with 900's and #6 drives for around 229k. It is out west, and appears to be a 10.... Everything negotiable. If it is the PP that I'm thinking of, it is a very nice boat as well, and the owner took extremely good care of it. I had 675's in Radio Active.. had a few problems , but they got resolved, and motor ran fine. I'm not a bravo lover by any means, so that is the ONLY weak link on that boat. As to the 42 OL, has big power, which requires more maintenance and quicker rebuilds between intervals. You have 2 great choice's, Both beautiful boats, and I would be proud to own either..
