Default OK..Whats next in outdrives after Bravo1

Hey guys. I just went through the engine in my 28 scarab..blower, cam, heads..you know..the normal things we throw money at when we should be doing other things. I realize the Bravo1 isn't going to be long for this world, so I am looking for advice from the people who have already "been there, done that". I do not have a drive shower yet, and the the boat still has the original power steering. Without going nuts..which outdrive is next. I am not planning on anymore power as the boat probably wouldn't like it anyway

Unless you are making huge power with that setup a well built XR might do but steering is a MUST.

The XR is next up from the B1 but you probly want more drive than you need so look at the Konrad as it's rated to 800hp I believe. If you're not scared of a shaft drive the ASD6 or 7 would be a great choice.

An XR is a "better" bravo but may not be the best thing for your set-up. If you want a near new XR that sat as my spare at a used price let me know......

Konrad or ($$$$$$$$$) NXT. The Ilmor Indy would be a contender, but they're not selling that for anything other than new package installations or Ilmor retrofits.

IMCO SCX

XR's are a 50/50 thing.

They might live for a while..... or the upper gearset
may only last 10 hrs.

I'm the Konrad factory rep. Shoot me an email and I'll send over the literature on the Konrad line.

Thanks,

Kurt

Yea...I forgot to mention the whats in it..just your everyday warmed over 502 cid. It's very close to 800hp now, not quite..but close enough for me. The torque numbers with the supercharger are very high also.

I ran an XR in my 27 Fastech with a whippled 502 650 HP for 3 years with no problems. 1.5:1 with a labbed Bravo 1 26P.
