I plan to ride all of the ones I'm interested in.
I rode a 32 Donzi w/ twin 300's - it rode real well. Very solid boat. I also have an opportunity to check out a 35 Donzi. Fountain's factory is 2 hours away. I plan to get Wyatt to let me ride some of thiers too. Still the Concept has "the look" of a go fast. . . . . . . . .
I really don't want to go smaller than 32. I boat in the lower Chesapeake bay and it is ALWAYS snotty out there - that is why I bought a Top Gun. But now I am looking for easy to care for.

A blast to drive.
Donzi: I would go with a 35 Daytona.. Not a T-Top boat, radar arch, can handle rough water and you can get some really nice paint schemes. runs about the same 62-65 mph
Most Center Consoles with twins run below 70 only because they affected by wind, unlike a closed bow boat. The Center console is like a brake in the center of the boat and when you drive one you can here the wind hitting the console, The radar arch is faster then a T-top but also serves a brake for wind. but when looking at a CC the gains outway the faults. Great Party boat. Great for Coves, bar hopping, quiet, can hold a lot of people and very easy to maintain.
Best of Luck.

Speaking from experience..... I just bought my 38 fountain and I love it .
I still have my 33 Sutphen but sometimes it just gets tiresome compared to the kind of boating you can do on something like this.
Mine was set up with a second row of bolsters from fountain and it was the main reason I went with this boat vs others I was looking at.
4 people 55-60 mph drinking cocktails comfortably.
It tops 70 mph - light on everything, people, water, fuel, but consistently 68 on regular basis
but just different kind of boating all around.
I almost bought a 200k boat to replace my sutphen but figured on this and still keep the "sut" for poker runs and a days I am in that kind of mood.

agree I also checked out & test drove "renegade" in miami / 2009 boat show. nice stuff! like them allot. almost went that route.
Went with fountain because of the resale, and fish world swears buy the 38 hull.
I recommend those 2 boats.
