Those are pretty good numbers for 540's that have not had major head work. I say go run em.

I am very happy with these numbers; my Bravos are not so happy (SKramer offered to rebuild them for free).

As a NA'ed engine does it seem short in the RPM department? Would he be better off spinning a big cube NA'ed engine like this up to 5800 with a cam like this? http://www.cranecams.com/index.php?s...51&lvl=2&prt=5

Duc thats pretty much what im going with. 540 N/A 10/1 i have the cast dart heads hydro roller 1050 dom carb made 700 before a couple small changes shooting for 750 for the cafe. Good Luck

The beauty of dyno's with a little change in the correction factor its easy to make a customer happy... I would have asked them to get it to see about 1000hp, and Tq well where would you want it? For you are the customer... Only works until the motor goes in the boat and makes a few speed runs. Then reality sets in hard...
