Keep saving and then start looking, anything in that price range, will cost you far more right after you buy it to fix the problems, than just waiting and getting something that is ready for the water and safe...Plus the wife won't get nearly as mad...:angry-smiley-038:

That being said, I have had over 16 best days....
Find the cleanest one owner boat you can find and take it to a trusted mechanic and have them check out the mechanicals.
Regardless, boats are holes in the water you throw money into.
However, after boating for over 35 years, I cannot think of a better way to spend your disposable dollars.

I'm surprised no ones asked what kind of use he's looking to get out of the boat? If your looking for a family cruiser with all the creature comforts at 55mph, then a Rinker would certainly fit his needs. If your looking for a boat to get you started, with solid hull platform to throw bigger power in, you might want to search elsewhere. Also, where are you boating??? It might be worth it to wait it out a year and save up a bit more money. The amount of boat you can get with 20k vs 30k in this kind of market is HUGE.

I think I might go and look at this one this weekend. We do most of our boating either at lake Cumberland in Kentucky or on the Ohio river. We live in cincinnati and those are the best places to go. Also, when the water is still cold, your wife or SO would appreciate a cuddy:food-smiley-009:. I'd say keep looking.....there's some killer deals out there right now.

Agreed. For a wify a cuddy is a must. THe black will fade on the sun. FOr 10K the INfinity would be a lot better. But of course I'm biass.

I rode in that exact boat in the Ozarks. I am used to being in much larger boats 35' and up. I was very, very impressed with the speed and how the hull handled the rough water. There was three hardcore offshore boys in the boat. The owner has a 34 Hustler, I have a 39 MTI, the the third owns a 39 Top Gun Cig. We all expected to get beat up knowing how the Ozarks can be. However we were dead wrong. That boat was really a pleasent surprise how it ran over 75 mph in snotty water and was very stable and felt very solid. The newer 454EFI engine ran like a million bucks and looked like a brand new Bravo drive as it still had the bar codes on it. Everywhere we went we got thumbs up from people who like the stealth look to the boat. I am surprised the owner is selling it. Although he has other boats maybe the reason. If I was looking for a boat in that price range I would not hesitate with that boat. The satin black finish was not as hot to the touch as we expected and was another surprise. We could walk on the deck in the hot Ozark sun with no problems.
