Jarrod does all my carbon fiber as well. He specializes in atv plastics so he knows how to do the prep work on plastics.
Here is the tank on my old 496ho and the blower drive and accessories on my 540

My camera sux but here's some shots of the tank coatings. They even did the lid to the ps tank. Looks ok compared to the stock white...

If you notice I left a small area where it's not coated in the pic above. I thought I'd be able to see the fluid levels. Wrong. The sanding they do to the tanks fades the plastic so you can not see through them at all. Would be best just to cover the whole thing. FYI for anyone who decides to do it. Also, they have all kinds of colors. I wanted to do mirror candy red for some reason but their red probably would not have been a close enough match.

The lids come from these guys http://www.customcowlings.com/
They have one for the power steering too.
Jarrod & his family run the business. They sand blast the plastic and metal parts, then use a special primer. They base coat the object in the color you desire, dip it in a vat with the design you prefer and finally clear coat the whole thing.
The ATV plastics can stand up to rollovers and high power car washes without flaking off. The graphics will scratch rite of without clear & prep.
Be sure and tell them Mitch sent you for your discount.
