Default Favor needed by members in the Kansas City area.

I ask this Favor in sympathy on behalf of my Sister and Brother-in-law and his family. To help in a search party for Ron Keibler. Ron my Brother-in-law's Step Father. He has been missing since last Thursday and everything to this point sugests foul play. It looks like he had been at one of the area Casino's and that he must have been followed out?? They do know that there was a Onstar Emergency call made from his car (2000 Cadillac) at 1am and 1:30 am on Friday Morning, in the Weston State Park area, then Saturday his car was found in Leavenworth. His wife called the police and filed a missing person complaint late friday. It was not unusual for him to go to the Casino in the evening while he waited for his wife to get home from work. He is 59 and had taken his retirement from General Motor's after having heart bypass sugery and never got back to full strength.

They only area of the state park that can be accessed after 11pm is a gravel road that follows the railroad tracks and the Missouri River. We have searched this area for several days and found nothing.

As many of you know I'm a Funeral Director and I see how the death of a loved one can affect a family. The Sad and Hard part for this family is, there is no Closure. They are in a state of limbo between hope and sorrow.

Due to the time involved and his medical state and the lack of medication that he took on a regular basis. The outlook is not good.

I'm trying to get a search party together for this Sunday April 28. I would like to search the Missouri River from Leavenworth upstream toward the Weston State Park (About 5 or 6 miles) then if we still find nothing maybe try down stream toward Parkville.

What I'm looking for are people with boats that can be put in the missouri river at the Leavenworth City Boat Ramp. I'm not asking everyone to bring his or her Fountain since the Missouri River at this area is mostly navigated by small alluminum fishing boat's. I'm going to bring my 20ft Pontoon w/50hp and a 15ft Jonboat w/ 20hp. As I understand the current is about 11mph in this area and the average depth is around 11ft to 13ft.

I'm thinking meeting around Noon to 1pm Sunday. I will pay for the gas and oil in any of the boat's that show up to help out.

If you have any question's you may contact me anytime.

I wish you all the best, and that this does not turn out to be the worst circumstances. I wish I could be there to help. I hope you have a lot of responses. Perhaps contacting a local dealer or two of small boats that can navigate this area may provide you with a demo or two that someone else can drive/operate.

Well I'm still planning on having the search party this Sunday afternoon. The latest is that there was more than one Onstar Emergency call made from his car. I guess one was made a little after 1am then one just two minutes later both from the area of Beverly, Mo near Weston Bend State Park. Then 18min. later another one came in from the area of Parkville, Mo. They are saying that the only thing that they can hear in engine noise.

I don't know if they (the police) have contacted the Lee's Summit underwater rescue group or not? I will check on that. I also have a buddy that has his dog trained by the same trainer that trains the Overland Park Search and Resuce Dogs and I'm checking if they have been contacted as well.

I have been working on my boats for the last couple of nights trying to get them ready.

Thanks for all the kind words, I will be sure to pass them along!

Thanks, Brad

Brad
Give me a call on my cell tomorrow 449-2426. I lived in LV for years and know where a few of the caves are that go under the river. Let me know where you want to meet Sunday. Let me know if you need a truck for any of the boats since I will be driving buy your place to LV. I may be able to get a few jon boats form Ft. Leavenworth I need to check with my dad.
