Default Anybody converted a cat with 2.5s to 3.0s?

Looking to pull the trigger on the new motors tomorrow or the next day. I want to make sure I have everything I need. I don't think it matters, but the new engines will be 250 Sport XS (RH and LH).

If you even know anyone I can discuss the conversion with, I would appreciate it.

email: cameronmurray at bellsouth.net. (Replace the "at" with @.)

Thanks in advance,
Cameron

I repowered my 30 motion from 2.5 (280's) to 250xs's. What would you like to know? I love the new motors! The fuel economy is amazing! And you can't beat having a warranty!

Hey, sorry i dont remember your name but i met you a couple weeks ago at Ft Myer Beach. We were on the Contender.

Back to the original question, my friend repowered his 30 spectre from 225 promax's to 300xs. Its a pretty straight forward swap.

Yes, I remember you and you are correct that it is an easy swap. I would to recomend installing some type of smartcraft gauge. It is nice to monitor all the engine paramters.

Looks like Mercury won't sell a LH Sportmaster for the 250XS but the will sell a 300XS with one, WTF. They do list them as MTO (made to order) they also need to update the website......
