The the guy that built the Turbinator had the classic half man half robot skull face painted on the side. Instead of Arnold it was a portrait of himself..
I don't remember if that boat was step hull. I want to say it wasn't.

The comment Terry posted about "The Turbinator" being a handful at 105, makes me wonder if this 1200 boat will have the same ride?

Have they made any bottom changes since the Turbinator was built, that could have cured any potential handling issues for the 1200 boat?

btw: I think "The Turbinator" is probably the best name I've ever heard for a powerboat with turbines. THAT, is a classic http://smiliesftw.com/x/bowrofl.gif

Turbinator after time did have some bottom mods to it and ran around 110 with more left in it. It was a stepped hull. Fred Cerne in Michigan had a 43 SC with side by side Gellner 1200's, wet 6's, and that ran 114 after it was finally dialed. Not sure if his was a stepped hull or not, but I think it was.

The current 460's are a far superior hull. There were several generations of the 460 hull, but the ones since 06' run really well.

jason moffets bt 46 horseplay runs 104 with triple chiefs..he came by me at jotj a couple years ago and that boat handled like it was on rails. I was impressed to see a step hull condo run like that.
