Statement 50 Passion Catamaran Hits the Water
Please see press release below:
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Statement Marine's 50 Passion catamaran has finally hit the water for testing. Statement's dealer, Double R Performance, who has the next 50 Passion on order is very happy with the results. Double R's Peter Roberts says that the testing should clear up some question marks. "For anyone wondering whether the Statement cat design would work, this should end the speculation."
Statement hired world renowned throttleman John Tomlinson to test the twin Turbine Marine T-53 powered boat. Tomlinson was very impressed. "The boat ran out of propeller at 170 mph and was VERY stable." said Tomlinson. Tomlinson was also extremely impressed with the ride quality of the boat. "We were running 2 foot chop at 150 mph and couldn't even feel it."
Statement principals Todd Werner and Nick Buis were pleased with the testing. " Our goal was to make a PLEASURE boat. We didn't put 1900hp turbines in it. If Johnny Tomlinson says the boat will run 180 mph with regular T-53's, that is a strong number," said Buis.
The 50 Passion and the 42 Ultimate will be at the Jacksonville Poker Run next month.
