Looks very nice!!! I have a question, if you paint a boat with regular paint what do you use as a top coat?? Regular car clear or something better and stronger?? I'm just curious because I'm thinking about painting my boat.

We are using BASF Paint Diamont R-M it is a base coat clear coat that is catalized, I believe it is very close to what the automotive is using…

So you have to be very careful not to scratch it then. Probably not the best route for me to go then. Thanks for all the info. Great job on that boat, it looks awsome.

Gel-Coat is about 15-18 mills think so you may be able to get small scratches out easier but if it was more than a scratch the paint process is much easier to repair!!
