37 Scorpion
Hello Everyone. I want to start this thread to track my new project. I recently picked up a 1987
37 Scorpion. The boat is in pristine Condition, since the Hull has never seen the water. Seems like the previous owner never finished the boat. It has been sitting for the last 20+ Years!!! This was an AWESOME find! I plan to finish the boat as modern as possible. So your ideas are welcomed. Ill be posting pics and documenting the progress. I should take delivery of the boat by the middle of next month. Here are some innitial Pics.

BTW Forgot to mention, we bought the boat from Scott and Cathy at Speed and Custom Marine. Had a great experience with them, good folks to do business with.

Air Time, Yes. We are using a block and bell housing with tranni setup to align the engine mounts. Problem is, is that the port side was done first, with custom made mounts to mirror the Stb side. Well when they started the Stb side they found out that the center stringer was exactly 1" to the left so the mirrored mount was off by 1". Right now new mounts are being made to correct the issue. Kinda wish I could get with Julio on that to see what was the reason behind it.

Scorpion 37 Build
Update pictures of the SLOW progress on our Scorpion 37 Project.

Had to fabricate the engine hatch. Wanted a low profile look. Used 3/4 marine ply and glassed it over, going to fill all the holes and smooth it out to prepare for Prime and paint.
