need help with new Gaffrig RPM gauges not working...
heres the deal. 2000 baja 29 outlaw. Boat had original Gaffrig gauges. Changed them all to new models. They all work fine except the RPM's.
up until 2000 rpm, they show, according to the old gauges and my timing light, the right rpm. obove that they start bouncing between 2000 and 3000 rpm, even when WOT.
I switched the selectors behind the gauges from 8 cyl to 6 cyl to outboard, not better...
Since I plugged back the old gauges and they work fine, I don't understand what is going on. I can not have 2 new, defect gauges... There must me something else that needs to be added, relay, diode, or sometype of electrical trick so they would read the truth...
Any idea? Thanks!

they are Gaffrig, but I have'nt looked if it was written by livorsi at the bottom of guage in really really small writing... I will this morning. I sent Gaffrig an e-mail but never responded, I'll try to call them if time allows me...
The filter thng must be the solution. I'm sure we hooked them up properly. there is no reason they don't work, except a filter missing or something like that...
thanks for the filter idea.

If they are new and say Gaffrig, then they are Gaffrig.
Gaffrig are labeled as Gaffrig Performance on the gauge.
Older Livorsi were labeled as Gaffrig Precision Instruments on the gauge and are now labled as Livorsi.

I e-mailed them, no answer.
I left a message by phone, no reply
I spoke to a lady, who took the message and said she would tell Mike, still no answer...
Guess I'll buy another brand next time...
Anyone can reach him personnally?
