i was just *****ing about that last night. if it's too rough in the afternoon, duh, then schedule the races earlier when conditions are more favorable. you would think thye would have figured that out a long time ago. especially after last years experience. i'm no racing expert, but i the know weather well enough.

Rescheduling does take some coordination with different agencies as I understand it.

FAA, National Security, Two Local Govt.s, County Govt., Safety Assets, State Game and Wildlife, Federal Game and Wildlife, Coast Guard, Local Fire and Safety in Daytona and New Smyna just to mention a few.

Not to mention sponsors, vendors, caterers, radio stations, local police etal

this isn't their 1st race in daytona. these guys are supposed to be professionals. modern technology has created some huge advances in marine forcasts. all i'm saying is that apba should be able to anticipate such things. just because they "like" to schedule the 1st race at 1pm doesn't mean it applies to every venue and time of year. adapt, improvise and overcome. if apba can do that, they will have more satisfied racers and fans. very simple equation. i'm very critical because this issue is WAY too obvious. if me, joe fricken shmo, can see this is an issue, then the almighty of the apba should be able to figure this out. just thought i should let it all out on this issue.

to give apba some credit, the live internet coverage has been very good today.
