That guy had some serious toys

Do a google search on Scott Rothstein. He posed with a million dollars of wristwatches (he collected them) and bragged about his collection of businesses (from steakhouses to jewelers). Guy bought 4 waterfront homes on one street in Ft Lauderdale but didn't live in any of them! My uncle lived 2 streets over from the house he actually lived in. You would see off-duty cops sitting in patrol cars 24-7 outside his house (they were paid security for him).

Something just wasn't right with this guy. The neighborhood is full of multimillionaires yet this guy is a local lawyer (not exactly handling high risk cases) and he has 24-7 off-duty cops? One of the papers quoted "He spent more money than local billionaires" referring to Wayne Huizenga.

He just released his 12 page apology letter to the judge which outlined his craziness. The odd part of the letter was he referred to his wrongdoing as "My partner and I"......despite the partner never being charged. Looks like he still can't take the blame alone even the week before he gets sentenced (100 years is what it calls for, lawyer is trying for 30-40). He is getting sentenced the day before his 48th birthday. So even best case he gets 30 and out in 20 he will be 68 and broke when he gets out!

The IRS is in the process of filing a 10MM tax lien on him. Apparently you owe taxes even on stolen money!

Rothstein is a complete douchebag ... and his wife is is a bartender glorified prostitute who circled the wagon in Lauderdale for some time, till a dumbass like Rothstein fell in love !!! Complete losers ..
