We have a 23 Regulator with a single. It is plenty of boat for us. Just don't get a Yamaha Saltwater Series on it, we are finding out they have some issues.

checkmate has a new 25' center console. i believe it's called the 250 SFX. i haven't seen one in person yet, and there's very little info available on them, but they have me intrigued. It looks like an ideal package for someone looking for a single engine center console that isn't really a fisherman.

Very cool layout. Wonder if it is self bailing?

A. You won't find a lot of single engine 30's
B. Are you looking for performance or just a cruising boat (with lots of seating).
C. What are "salt issues?" Salt can be tough on sterndrive applications but on outboards not so much......

Appreciate the different opinions. Don't see too many cc in the area that I boat, so the feedback and suggestions are great! I am looking for a cc that can handle fairly rough conditions. I know that is asking a lot for a boat that doesn't weigh much and in that length category.

Right here. My old boat:

I simply can't understand why this boat has not sold yet. I am happy to answer any questions on it, and a call to the current owner will reveal an extremely experienced high performance boater. It is a true 28 feet, not like 25 foot Concept that uses the bracket to call itself a 27. It is heavy, old school and custom. If you want a Cadillac ride in any water (I remember walking away from 31 foot Formula's in 3-5's) with a center console layout, this is worth a look in my opinion.

Those are some great cc's. Looking for a boat that is able to handle a little rough water on the lake, no fishing, just for cruising short distances when I don't want to take the Fountain out. Would like a boat that hasn't been in salt.

I still stand by my original post. The Renegade 27 or 29 in a single and the Renegade 32 in a twin. It is one of the top choices of South Florida smugglers, in this day and age. It is stable, lightweight, fast, and relatively inexpensive. $50K will get you into a few year old 32 with twins and an engine warranty. I'll check on used prices of the 23,27, and 29. It would be a very stable boat for the Lake of the Ozarks.
