Default Did I miss the recovery in the boat market?

Wow, is it the Summer silly season or did we all get stimulus checks?

I just looked into the classifieds and the crack smokers are back...

Ya, but the brokers are the ones dealin the crack I think..

I had found a boat I wanted and it was listed with no less than 4 different brokers and prices ranged $10k-$20k higher between them. The owner wanted $40k and I saw it listed at $69k... WTF is goin on out there in FL?!

The boats that have been priced right have moved. Bat boat for $10k. 37 Active thunder under $80k. 39 outerlimits for 169k. All come to mind as priced right.

What boats in particular do you find over-priced? And why? I am curious to see your rationale. You are probably correct, but none-the-less what ads here on OSO have caught your attention as over-priced, and what do you think a fair asking should be?

I think your boat is priced right where it should be, but my opinion will not get your boat sold. I have always liked your Sutphen.

I just placed my mother's Phantom for sale again, last year her and Will Smith (owner of Phantom) thought that $92K was a decent asking price, which I felt was too high back then, so I redid the advertisement today for $75K, of which we have $44K in receipts for work, engines, parts alone over the past three years in this boat. My mother owns it outright, and if it does not sell, no big deal for now. But $75 is probably just a tad too high too, but not that high, but that is the asking price. Anyone feel free to make an offer, this is a start.

There are definitely some great deals out there.
