SVL Class requires a stock 525.

I never had the time or opportunity to ask them to lift the hatch.

Maybe the next race they will invite me in for a photo op...

Tim is correct, a stock 525EFI from Mercury Racing in the class spec engine. To my knowledge, the only Super Vee Light boat that doesn't have that engine is Sun Print, which has a GM Vortech engine. (As I said, to my knowledge—I could be wrong and in any event that engine seems to match up with the Mercury Racing iteration very well.)

When I spoke to George Auriemma last week he described the Sun Print boat (Steve Miklos boat) as "Vortech" powered.
If that's changed, I apologize for any confusion my reporting my have created.

Under the dash on mine is about as good as it gets, I did spend some time when I first got the boat tie wraping up the stuff in the gunnels. WTF the thing runs like a bear, small price to pay for a production boat that can run like it does on stock Merc power. I would rather spend my time dicking around with some little chit than be faced with a hull that just does not do what it is designed to do. When it comes to hull design you just can not top Fountain.

Good to see they are building boats, these are not good times for sure. If anyone can pull the rabbit out of the hat, I'm sure Reggie will.
