Insurance for Gulf Coast boats

Selling a Formula 353 on the Gulf Coast. Long time customer,he said his insurance carrier will no longer write policies there due to the oil spill. WTF? What does that have to do with insurance?

Robert.....that is interesting. Huricaines, oil sludge......maybe its all too much risk?

He just found another carrier so we are good to go,he just had to change companies. I also heard that Volvo is warning that warranties may be voided due to oil spill. They are claiming that oil in the water will clog cooling and will not be covered. What's next? I wish I had a son so I could forbid him to be in the boat business.

Have him call N.B.O.A in Sarasota. They write policies for go fast boats and their rates are very good.
