Lefty enviro wackos are making a much bigger deal of this than it should be. It's not the end of the freaking world. It will suck for a while, it will get cleaned up, and it will pass. BP is ready to start injecting dispersant directly at the leak to help.

It's not like this area is a stranger to natural disaster or anything...
Put down the KOOL AIDE,from the looks of the news it sure looks devastating ... good luck to you peeps the louisiana way

Single Boom 1,800 barrels an hour or 75,000 gallons, use a half dozen of those things.

Stop watching the liberal lefty news and go down and see for yourself. If you believed everything you saw on the news, the world would've ended already.

Volcanos erupt, earthquakes shake the ground, rivers flood their banks and natural gas blows out rigs. Mother nature has a way of reminding us who really has the power. IT SUCKS for a while but we adapt and move on.

as long as you depend on this stuff as a fuel source then there will be risks.
we can power vehicles on the surface of other planets with other fuels but you can't do it here.
GO figure
Well, since Bush caused Katrina, its only fair to say Obama caused this.

On a serious note. Why hasn't the federal government gotten more involved in stopping the leak?

Anyone else see a trend here? They can't or won't control our borders. They cant protect us from terrorist. They can't protect our ecosystems. They can't or won't stop the Iranian Nazi from getting nukes, and they bow down to our enemies. They cant fix the economy and they cant figure out how to create a job growing environment.

Wow. There are some painfully idiotic posts strewn throughout this thread. I hope for the sake of some that they are being slightly facetious.
