He was gone before that 2008 report was issued. His earlier data was disproved, and the USGS actually bumped up their prior report a little bit.

I think the real issue with this type of oil is how to extract it, right? It's my understanding that it takes MASSIVE amounts of water and I don't think there is enough water out there to support the effort.
