Any 24/7 boat would work. Python, pantera, cigarette, superboat, excalibur. A 26 scarab would also be a good choice. 24 skater.

How about a good ol' Pachanga, they are out there reasonable, although not the fastest, but nice and ride good

Lots of the ones i'm finding are out of my price range. There's a 95 Baja 24 outlaw near by that I will probably go look at next weekend though. $15k

I suppose I should put in my usual plug for my favorite small, fast boat - the 22' Progression. Mine runs a bit under 80 MPH on 240 HP out of a modified Mercury 200 outboard. It will run in 3 footers with ease and is the next best thing to indestructable. They're not cheap. There aren't many out there, but a good one is worth every penny. I wouldn't trade mine for anything but a new one.

If your lake gets rough, stay away from the 20 Outlaw. They are a fast hull (5.0 MPI 260hp and runs 63mph) but 1-2' chop will beat you up badly unless working the throttles hard. I love mine and works great for us but its not the boat you'll want.

If I was buying a boat with your Price range I would be looking at Four Winns Liberator's. IMO they are great looking boats I would love to have a 211, 241, or 261.

I grew up on a 211 and there great boats that are built solid and ride very well for there size.
