I was wondering if you guys would ever notice my absence.
I am selling the Scarab... its costing me too much in Gas, and maintenance.
I just hydroed my port motor, and it broke me...
Im not sure where im going from here, but Im thinking hard about getting a bay liner!

prolly a small center console outboard diving boat.
I still read the board almost every day, but ****, im no longer an offshore racer...

Make no mistake about it people... playing with BIG BOATS takes BIG MONEY. I severely underestimated the costs involved with a TWIN 502 setup that was 20 years old. Thing burns 1 gal per mile, and breaks every 5 miles...
Learn a lesson from me, dont commit to this sport unless your FUGGIN RICH. Well, Im not. I admit it. And well, there it is.
Maybe Ill be back in about 3 years... I hope.
But if I do come back, it will be with a brand new boat, or NOTHING.
Im still lurking... by the way, every day.
Im just to depressed to write.

Nick, sorry to hear that. I guess living in Cali does have its drawbacks since your gas usage and breakdown season is twice what it is in the Midwest.
