Imco extended input shaft for Bravo.
I really didn't want to put this question out there if it hasn't been tried yet but if it hasn't, remember you heard it here first.
Has anyone ever attempted to use the ITS input shaft or the imco extended input shaft for Bravo without using the extension box. What I'm trying to accomplish here, in a single engine V, is to push the engine forward, first 5 inches then 12 inches for weight distribution purposes. Obviously front and rear solid stringer mounts will be used as well as a shaft cover.

one concern is the bearing in the ext box you will need to fab a bracket to hold it giving support where the bearig lands on the input shaft. i have some other ideas on how to do it pm me for more info

I might be wrong but I think the carrier bearing assembly inside of the box will mount on the inner gimble ring where the rear of the bravo bell housing mounts. The drive input shaft should slide into it. You'll need the short shaft. Theres a flange for the carrier assy wher a shaft will bolt up. I could be wrong? You'll still need to fab up some new rear engine mounts. I'd go with a rail set up.

OK well thats what I am thinking of then. I have the Stellings boxes and it looks like the carrier will sit on the gimble ring in place of the rear mount. I'm sure I've seen it done or am I immagining it?
