The Spectre would be the choice here, especially for performance and rough water. The Spectre has several Offshore World Championships, Kilo records that still stand(Zipp Express) and Powerboat Magazine product excellence awards.
And currently Spectre is one of the only manufacturers that is actually building boats and showing strength and presence. Spectre is still tooling up new stuff for the market as well....

I say ditch the bravos and go with the 377talon with #6 drives. Looks like a steal to me. If you sell the power in it, it puts you well within your price range.

I am going to call on the 377 Talon in the morning and see if it can be had for the 120K that dreamer stated. It is listed at 180K and that is more than I am able to spend at this time. I also put in for an insurance quote on it with Wakezone. What carriers do the guys that have cats now use?

38' Awesome cat in class for 96K already has imco upgraded XZ I'm sure with 800's be pretty close to your 120mph if it already runs over 100 with 600's. Will be able to handle Lake ruff a little better than 35-36 cats IMO

Having spent the last two years racing that same hull i can tell you people really notice that boat. Its got a look like no other and they are very well built. They dont handle really rough stuff as well as say a 36 Skater but they do just fine.

On another note a friend of mine down here in Toledo had a 33 Eliminator with dry sixes and 900's that is in that range. Very nice boat and runs out to about 135.

One problem with the Talon is there is no flat surfaces on the deck. Walking around anywhere is "entertaining".

Catmando: can't post pics but, It's/they are in the OSO classifieds 2 Awesome 38s in there 1 for 96K and the other for 130K both REALLY nice boats for the price.
They can for surely handle Lake Erie's rough stuff. These 38's are heavier but will handle 3-4 footers and not get kidney shots I would say maybe like the little smaller 35-36 lighter cats.
