Brian,
I wouldn't fool around looking at anything but that 36 Skater, especially for that price. I think it is perfect for what you are trying to do.

My only concern with the Skater is the Bravo-style drives. I wouldn't want a drive to break at 120+.

Great point. I believe Brian's plan is to purchase without drives. Or if purchased with Bravo's, remove and sell them. His goal is to use the IMCO drives to handle 600-800HP, safely.

I am leaning towards the Skater because of the sleeping accommodations.If I purchase it I would get rid of my 32 Baja "when" the economy comes back. With the Talon, Spectre or Motion I would have to keep my 32 for the family. I agree that the #6 boats would be a much better option but my original plan was to replace the Bravo's with IMCO SCX drives.

The Skater cabin is barely enough to even sleep. Id rather sleep on the Talon. It does have a cabin.
