My last Powerstroke was in a 1997 F-250 (old body style) and it would get 22-24 mpg on the highway. It had 3.73 gears and the Gale Banks Power Pac.
The new Powerstroke is in a 2002 F-450 Crew Cab Dually and it is only getting 16 mpg on the highway. This engine is bone stock for now and the truck has 4.30 gears so this explains the mileage...but it is a towing machine!!!! |

What kind of mileage should he be getting? Any ideas what might be wrong? Thanks, Dan I have 1ton crew cab dually and i pull 42 lighting 2001, and get 12 on the average. With out the boat i get up to 19. |
2000 F-250 crew SB. Stock except for K&N. 18.5 MPG combined city /highway. If under 60 MPH on highway, ~22 MPG. If towing #7000 @~70-75 MPH, highway MPG drops to low mid teens.
