Default Cigarette AMG Status

If you happen to be boating in the Miami area today and you see something strangely familiar, http://www.boats.com/boat-content/20...ream%E2%80%9D/.

Glad to hear it is running great with over 100 hours on it. The non-disclosure of the top speed is disappointing. I interpret it as "boat goes faster than any 46 1075 boat built (so that means 120) but it isn't catching a Fountain or Outerlimits with identical HP.

Manufacturers are always proud of a big top speed number. Not announcing one means you don't have a good one yet!

Not necessarily, Jupe. I've had manufacturers be cagey with me on all kinds of things for all kinds of reasons. Interpreting their motives is a guessing game I like to stay out of.

Trust me, I'd like to know the number, too.

I'm thinking the same thing. I wonder how much heavier are the motors than 1075's?

If a 1075 46 can run 120, a similar boat with 500 more hp and 300lbs lighter(each) motors should run at least 130 I would think.

Its not how fast you go that matters, its how well you go fast

Beautiful boat.

If that boat tags 130+ there would be a full page ad in the next Powerboat magazine bragging about how good life is at 130 with warranty and the smoothness of AMG/Mercedes etc.

The 46 is a great hull, excellent boat but at 1.1MM it gives buyers a whole lot of other options!

American Muscle II- 375K
09 Nortech 50 V- 3,000 HP- 499K
Apache- Medicine Man- 159K
F650 Used Tow Vehicle- 67K

143 FT of GO FASTS, 7400 HP AND a tow vehicle for the same 1.1MM. I can't say that the AMG Cig is better than the "options."
