I think the difference here is that he is a high-level publicly elected official (senator) that has influence over the laws of the state, including the state tax laws. Of course "technically" it is owned by an LLC in PA that's under his wife's name, so is he really doing anything wrong!? Maybe, maybe not - but it certainly looks bad (politically), esp. to the average joe living in the state he represents. He prob. just got a PO box in RI and uses that as his "local address", maybe he should have at least bought a condo in the state with the $$ he saved on the taxes!?

He is still an azz-hat, (for reasons other than this), and should have done a better job at burying this one so as not to become fodder for the general public.
