88 or 89, I think 88 if so I was racing there, I remember it being really rough but then again it is "offshore" racing not river racing!

Joe absolutly the real Offshore days i am pretty sure was 1989

What boat were you in ??

I ran the little A class diesel boats then A-47 Malestrom and A-47 or B-27 Monza there are pics on here on them.

Those were the days all the spectator boats going out with you, people cheered the BIG boats and 50% of the boats never finished the race! Good or bad it was "offshore"!

You are right on the money. They need to get back to the real racing. Not river racing.

I would say 1988 APACHE PETE is in his first 41 in the video going up the river. The next year he would be there race ALLEZ VITE.
