Man, he's sooo lucky....
I wonder if he drives his personal limo & coach bus himself too? Stay in the back where the cocktails & entertainment is, & let your professional pilots/drivers do their job!
We have a friend that owns a G-550, & flies it himself almost everywhere he takes it. While I can understand him having a serious passion for flying, & especially having the privledge to own & fly the best of the best....it would be tough for me to not want to enjoy the features of the plane with my friends/guests, rather than worry with flying it. I wouldn't want to drive my own limousine?
Our friend also has a few other jets, including a military F-16 I believe, that he flys as well. I can understand him flying that for sporting reasons, but the G-550 is meant to be enjoyed from the rear to me!

Actually so is Jack Roush. Making it easy to slam him I mean. How often do you have to slam your head on the wall before you figure out it is not a door.
So bright in some fields and so dumb in others......

While BLee is correct I'm thinking the G550 about flies itself & the F-16 requires one to be on the ball.
JR is one lucky dude. He's ditched 2 planes & lived to talk about it. Since his teams aren't performing & Ford doesn't have a win this year maybe he was just doing it for the attention, or to one up Sully since he now has survived a water & land crash!
All kidding aside I've lived way too many helo, plane & car crashes for my liking. It hits home big time when the guy you competed against just the other day isn't there the following week.
