Indy - dry-fit is a great idea. Another option is to make a carboard or luan template for difficult corners, curves or radius. remove all inspection ports also.

They want you to use a 75lb roller to assure that all air pockets are out and to insure that all the flooring is in contact with the adhesive. Considering the cramped space of most cockpits, alarge roller is impcactical. You can get a smaller laminate roller and working fom the center to each side, put a lot of hand pressure on the entire surface.

Once down, this stuff will give you many years of good looking, maintenance and odor free years of wear. Good luck and let us now of your results.

They said that it does not have any UV inhibitors in it. I've been told that by every manufacturer (Lonseal, Pirelli. etc). The stuff Pirelli recommended for sun exposure, I wouldn't put in my garage floor!! They way I look at it, the boat spends most of its life covered & indoors. It hasn't stopped all the other boat manufacturers from using it either. I'll also look for a topical treatment like 303 to spray on it to keep it healthy and retard the UV damage.

UV inhibitors, not necessary. seven years and 600 hours with the LonCoin Two in grey and eight years and 600 hours with the LonWave Mirage in off white. Both still looked great.

Indy - no need to put protectorant on the flooring. It will make it very slick and slippery. I saw minimal fade after the above stated times. These were, however, light colors.

Thumbs up GREAT THREAD!

Thanks for the thread! I have been looking for this stuff for a awhile! A friend of mine is looking for some for motocross trailer too. We really appreciate. I am thinking about putting on the floor below the hatch of Skater. Thanks again.

For you guys that have installed Pirelli or Loncoin, can you post some pics of the flooring in your boats? I'm really starting to lean that way and am curious as to what it looks like in and how you did it.
