On left side of screen......
click User Options, then Edit Options, then down to bottom to Avtar. Find a picture you want on your computer where you keep your pictures, such as in My Documents> My Pictures. Download from there as your Avtar.

Dear Faustino:
I got your e-mail. Feel free to call me, and I shall walk you through this.
I am sorry to hear about your brother. The Coast Guard, damn, at least it was for a great cause, but I would never say that directly to him as I'm sure he does not feel that way, and it could be misconstrued as unsympathetic or inappropriate. Kinda like when you're at a funeral and someone says "Well he/she's in a better place."
I tore a disk in my spine while jogging on the beach in Thailand 13 days ago. It has to heal, period. I just got back from taking a walk with my friend and his dog along the Hudson River. We saw a lot of boats. It was a beautiful day, indeed.
As for your Avatar, you need a photo-manipulation program which is what I have. If you e-mail me the picture, I will resize it for you maintaining the best possible image. When you reduce the size of a photo or an image the computer does so by randomly removing pixels. As a result, the image quality is effected. However, there are a few things you can do to the photo before making the reduction that will help reduce the loss of clarity in the image. First, crop the image as closely as possible and into a perfect square. Second, use the "auto image adjust" on the photo to sharpen the brightness and contrast (you are better off doing this manually, but if you don't have experience in doing so, I would not attempt it) Please note that you might be better off adjusting the image before you crop it. Third, use the "sharpen" tool on the photo. Finally, resize the image down to 64x64 by opening the "size" tool and changing the pixel variables to 64 and 64. Your default might say "inches" not "pixels." In this event, there should be a down arrow located next to the word "inches." Hit the down arrow, and change that to "pixels."
And you're done.
One last very important note. MAKE SURE YOU SAVE THIS IMAGE UNDER A NEW FILE NAME BEFORE YOU MAKE ANY CHANGES TO IT.
My best regards,
Jennifer
