I currently have a 27 and 29. They are great rough water boats as have been mentioned. The race versions were balsa cored and the pleasure versions were not cored. Very strong, well built.

Hull does not cut well and they are over rated.Their build quality is questionable..

I've always said that if I downsize a 29 race is #1 on my list! There has only been one around my area and I'm dying to drive one. Used to follow F1 and after watching them and talking to people that have driven them I am sold...

I had a '99 pleasure 29' with an HP 500. It consistently ran 76-77 mph on gps. Sharp looking, too. As mentioned above, very good in rough water - it flies level and feels solid. It rides a tad firmly, but it's not uncomfortable.
It's not custom boat quality construction/fit-and-finish, but it's better than the average production sport boat. It also has a large, fairly deep cockpit, a decent cabin, good motor access, etc. Mine didn't have full steering (it should have been standard, IMO), but that was my only real complaint.
Excellent boat for the money.
