Why has mercruiser not come out with their own version of a shaft drive? It seems with their resources and the fact that its a pretty simple design, they could gain customers instead of losing them...

As fas as price, definitely, Arnesons cost less $$ than a #6. It bums me out why anyone still would prefer a No6 or a Z drive for the matter. |

Go with the Arnesons and enjoy your boat.

I've owned several cats and would go with the ad
sd 7 package for the 46k versus the 60k for the 6 drive.but I would expect to get hit if I resold it |
I agree that Arnesons (bravo conversion) are number one choice on my current boat and the next one I buy. Second would be the BPM (prob never be able to afford a boat with them though!), then the #6, the INDY, and SCX.

...good readin here...not to go off topic, but, is Kaama still around..?... Arnesons rock...
