Default What is the story with this Gladiator?

Was this stolen and stripped or stripped before repo?

It's Jeff Cheng's (aka the creator of this website) old boat. When Jeff had it, it was sweet and there was a couple threads about the crate motors he used in it.

Jeff sold it to a guy (in Az I believe), who ran it for a while during which time the boat turn into a glorified turn bouy during a test run on Lake Havasu.

At some point the boat was obviously stripped prior to being repo'd.

I'ts been discussed and even at 18k (or less) this isn't a good deal. You're looking at anywhere from 75k up (on top of buying price) to get this thing worthy of what it once was.

It was available before, so likely it is sold rather than this explanation.

I'd think 18K would be a good deal if you had a donor boat already, like a wrecked hull or bought something for a great deal.

You could I'm sure turn it into a cabin boat, just one you have to enter through a hatch! She didn't want a usable cabin did she?

With all due respect to her, she'll get a cabin, but not one we can host a party in.
