I am going to be the one guy that is not impressed by this form a racing, from a driving stand point. I raced cars for years and drifting is the the completer opposite of being fast but I guess that is the idea. Its like stunting is to motorcyling. its an art for sure but dam my car owner would have killed me for killing the car like that But to easch their own

Nope, you're not the only one. I've done a decent amount of track driving and it was about getting from point A to point B the fastest, not about showing off. Come to think of it, A to B the fastest WAS showing off.

I really wouldn't call this racing. The stunting to motorcycling is a pretty good analogy. Bump skier to downhill racer, etc.

That doesn't take away from this guy's skills. Wonder how he'd do in a "real" race. THAT would be interesting.

You guys do realize that Ken Block is a "real" racer, right?

Unless of course you don't consider the World Rally Championship circuit to be "real" racing. (I do.)

He does these Gymkhana videos as promo stunts.

Yep. Real racing by real race drivers with real insanity issues.

Haven't followed WRC for a bunch of years. I was thinking more of the drifting only guys.

He is a real racer... and he knows his car.... well.

And his car is not a ricer...as rainmn noted... this is his WRC car.

Not so sure about it being WRC spec, it is similar but the HP number at 600 is way more than the 300 allowed.

As speced it is more like the European rallycross cars, which are often ex-wrc cars with more HP.

Here is one on Pikes peak http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8nptFx1jug
