Pachanga, when did GA start with the boat property tax? I registered my TopGun there in 04 and did it online. Never even got anything resembling a tax bill for it.

I guess it depends on the county and whether they pick up on it. When you register a boat through the DNR they foward the info to your county. I know it has been that way since the mid 90's. Ga will even tax your farm tractor(and implements) if they find it!

My county's property taxes are $1.37/1000 of appraised value(their appraisal).

No PP tax on boats in Illinois. Mine is kept in Missouri and pay $1300 a year for a boat valued at $165,000

You got it good we have 2700 sq/ft and pay $10k. AND WE DON'T GET CITY WATER, SEWER, GARBAGE. The only thing we get is the shaft.

Tim, imagine what it would be in NY!

I have half the sq ft as casa Sharkey and 100 x 120 lot and we pay 6700 about 50 miles up the road.

As said before, we have 7 percent on purchase price and yearly registration which was 52 las year.

Ontario residents have the pleasure of paying a 13% tax on just about everything we buy, including boats.
