55THUNDER,,,, a car(hot rod) spends 99%of its life under 2000 rpm......in the marine world the engines need to live running over 4000 rpm 80% of the time,,,, plus in the marine enviroment they need to make equal amounts of torque...prochargers and vortecs are horible in the marine enviroment,,, your engine example in a boat woulnt last 2miles before you melted all the pistons out of it,,,, thats why you dont see that aplication ever used

They drive at 1/100th power for a thousand miles and then run at full power for 7 seconds. How does that compare to a guy running near full power for 150 miles several times a summer? You know a top fueler turns about 500 revolutions total in a quarter and then it's time for a rebuild if it doesn't blow up on the way. You're comparing apples and grapefruits.

They made this power so easy, its hard to not run it. Normally, most of these big chief'd motors need about 18psi to make 1500-1600hp with the 3.3 quad, PSI or our 5.0/8.3. But the 4.0L quads have opened up a new window for power so this setup, with another SC, would be certainly less power. The motor makes 1600+hp with 11psi of boost which is where it will be setup to get some time on it. 1800-2000hp will be for shoot outs, at least thats the plan.

Or, a 605ci with Profiler heads, a nice roller, and an air to water intercooled blow through carb from the Carb shop, fed by a ProCharger F3-R 139... 1800hp all day, or throw in C-16, swap a pulley, and you've got 2400hp for a bonzai run..
These engines are proven in the Hot Rod power tour as we speak, driven 1000 miles in a week, then straight to the track and run 200 in the 1/4...

about 3 more months, put it to the side for awhile since NHRA wasn't so excited about the idea. Just pulled the trigger to finish tooling last month. But honestly, these 4.0L quads will be hard to beat in these applications.
