If you are looking at the merc tranny from the front of the engine the plug is on the lower right hand side way by the back at the lowest point on the side of the tranny.I did not know it was there until I got the manual from merc and they showed the location.You almost have to do it by feel.I took out the allen screw and replaced it with one zI could get a socket on.Made it much easier.
