Remember, OL would most likely have one of Fountains World Championships(2005) if not for SBI's REGGIE rules.

No way would that 47 OL not have KILLED the disintegrating CatKiller.
That is very true!! And if anybody thinks that Triple X didnt or couldnt run 160+ mph is just in their own dream world!

Again, we arent talking racing, we are talking speed #'s. This whole thing can be solved easily.

GO OUT AND BREAK THE RECORD. Until then the facts are that one mfg made a really fast boat and one made a fast boat. With that being said, there was a wayyyyy faster boat than the record boat that was ready to stomp anyone who broke the old record. a V pushing 200. THATS a fact

All I know is that if shot my mouth off about having the fastest boat the way OL did then didnt even make the run that day I wouldve run it as soon as it was ready at my exense. Period. He!!, a bathtub will go fast with a 1000 hp

I don't know why it's for sale (I think Wrinkleface knows Zack)
but I'm sure it's not an OL or money problem. The owner built:
43 Nor-tech Danger Zone
51 OL Sterling 1200's (orange)
48 OL Cat Merc 1200's (Whipples Green/Yellow)
44 OL
maybe I missed a couple

Point is he builds a new boat about every year.

I'm sure by his 3rd OL he knew what he was getting.

While you have to be really fast to get into the magazines, you must follow established protocol to make it into the record books. There is a big difference between making a claim to be fast, or fastest, and having that claim established for the ages via a world record. Fountain followed the established protocol in order to claim a new world record and incurred the debt to prove it

The new paint looks great btw.

Yeah, you kept saying that back then too. It remains a "legend" though, since that mysterious 200mph vee never ran.

I find it incredibly odd that Reggie didn't bring that boat out for promotion, when his company was having a rough time. If he had/has a 200mph Vee in his hand, he'd have shown it to everyone. Reggie would want THAT record as quick as he could get it.
