Air Conditioning

I'm looking at putting AC / Heat in the 303 as a winter project. I have been looking at the Mermaid 6500 btu and the Flagship Marine Air units.

http://flagshipmarine.com/selfcontained.html

I have seen the Mermaid mentioned on here before, but has anyone used the Flagship?

Are there any other brands I should consider?

Thanks!

do you have a generator, or room for one?

I have considered maybe getting a little Honda 1000 or 2000 to use on the swimstep if we are away from the dock. We usually have shorepower when we overnight, so the generator is not a big deal.

I put the Mermaid in my Fountain and am happy with it. My cruiser has Marine Airr. It is fine, but the condensation catch pan on it is painted, vs S/S as the Mermaid and Flagship have. Water in a painted pan= rust. Just something to keep in mind while shopping.
No experience with the others

Give Marine Air a call and see if their new molded plastic pans will retrofit your old one. Its an issue they addressed a few years back due to all the rust they were getting from the old design and people complaining of the rust stains in the bilge :D
(At least i think it was Marine Air anyway! )

Thanks Wally, I'll do that
