Question Life Jacket, one that holds head up??

HAd a boat crash, survived and now looking for a better jacket.

Recreational, not racing.

But something that will hold the head above water in case of being knocked out.

Who makes these?

Where can you buy them on-line?

Please let me know.

Thanks in advance.

Hi!

Check out Frode Racing. They make lifejackets which will turn you in correct position if you pass out. You will find info at http://www.frode.se/. They are UIM approved. Very very good quality. Pro Classic and Pro Competetion are the jackets that turn you around.

I have also chased up a inflateable race life jacket with leg straps. The leg straps will secure that the west will be on you if you fell into the water in high speeds. The west holds 200nm, and very lightweight. I can not find the link just now, but will check out tomorrow.

We got ours in black. They look pretty good. Our boat isn't fast but any vest is better than no vest and the water cops love to see you wearing them. Quality is good but its not a Lifeline vest.

Only the best racing vests will turn you over so you don't float face down if unconscious....and they need to be tested and adjusted in a pool or beach to make sure the flotation is set up correctly for your specific body/type. If you are traveling at any rate of speed over 60 or so make sure your leg straps are fastened as well.

Contact Lifeline...directly for more information.
