Default Thermostats on 6.2's

I hear of people drilling holes in their T-stats and was thinking I would do this on mine. The hose I use to flush the motors doesn't have alot of pressure. Thinking that if the T-stats were drilled it would flush the block without having to wait for the motors to get past 160. Any reasons not to do this??

Is there any differance between a carbed / mpi motor when it comes to drilling the T-stats?? I guess I'm concerned it will throw the computer off by messing with the water flow.
