OK Joe. Yes it has a serious keel. It's retractable but still drwas 8' when it's up. It's a cool boat. Been around the world 2x on it's own bottom and has been in every ocean on the planet with the exception of the Baltic. He usually keeps the boat moored at his island just off Puerto Rico for the winter but at this point it may be the first winter it just stays in dry dock.
