Default Skaters with BPM or Arensen

Why don't we see more Skaters built with surface drives? They seem to have Mercury...

Several factors:
- resale value (real or perceived)
- package pricing (Mercury Racing power, drive package)
- possible lack of knowledge of drive options
- local maintainability (probably perceived, Arneson hardly ever breaks)

There have been a reasonable number of Arneson Skaters, and we just recently had an Ilmor Indy drive 30 and a X-Power Drive 30.

For me personally, my next Skater build, will get serious consideration for Arneson drives.

Ever noticed that the heavy duty boats the coast guard and military use seem to favor Arnesons.

Tells me a lot.

Also there has to be a different bottom for the two different setups.

Sorry, but the bottoms are exactly the same

This goes to "lack of knowledge"
